I didn't say this before, but from the guitar playing point of view I am not easily impressed by most guitar playing I hear, even on many commercial rock recordings. But ... your solo on this is a real top notch performance, well done.

George can often be found playing stringy things, and singing...

Thanks George for posting - its thrilling to get positive reviews. I thought the GNR meets the Who was quite an apt description.

All the best for the op!

Andy

I post a most of the songs I sing on "The Modern Vocalist" for feedback. I got this feedback for Man On The Run:

Totally unique. This is what it would sound like if Roger Daltrey sang for Guns and Roses. You have the high, fuzzy arpeggiated chord played as single notes, ala Slash. Joined by a melodic bass providing counterpoint, ala Duff McKagan. The beginning harkens back to "Sweet Child of Mine." Then you introduce a vocal line and style that sound like it could have been in "Tommy."

Kind a of Slash-like laid back blues solo. Sweet.

Definitely rock, perfect mix. Nice high note, too. It made sense and totally fit. So, when you are touring the southern states of USA?

Really enjoyed this.
First thing I though was "The Who".

Then I read the comments and laughed!  ;D

Great job guys. The master is a little overcooked, But still sounds good.

Congrats!

Hi Nick,

Im glad you liked the song!!

Yes, the Who influences are obvious right from Bill's guitar take with a Baba O'Riley like intro :)
