Donna wrote most of the lyrics, and I'm responsible for the music. Musically I wanted an ELO, Jeff Lynne, George Harrison feel.

I just realized I could probably do some more careful automation on the vocal in places, I'll do that soon...but the important thing is that the song is there, and the overall sound, I'm glad you like it!

You really captured the typicall style and sounds except

Doc, yeah I realized I didn't like the first solo sound that much in context with this style, you made me go back and rerecord it.

It needed to be a little less "line in", and more organic sounding...it now has less distortion, is a different guitar, an sm57 + amp.

The second part of the solo with the guitar harmonies I kept and only EQ'ed, because I liked how the sound changed for that part.

Thanks Mick...I realised that a big part of the ELO sound is super simple acoustic guitar strumming, played really tigtly. Most of Lynne's acoustics are done that way in the Tom Petty and Wilburys stuff too. And same state of mind with the drumming.

Great Job!  I really like it,.. wished it was a bit longer,.. but short and sweet.

Very nice! It does have some light touches of ELO, especially during the intro, and a very good job mixing the drums IMO.

The early ELO sound was crap - lots of extreme distortion and overuse of phasers and flangers, and very poor overall sound (worse than the worst homerecordings I have ever heard), but then they developped a sound that I really love. Songs like "Confusion", "Telephone Line" or "I'm Alive" are still among my all-time favorites.
