  • Professionalism is an attitude
Just an instrumental I'm afraid. Melodies and counter melodies abound in this composition.

Set in the Edwardian era, Rebecca is made a widow due to her husband dying in battle in some far flung corner of the empire. She finds it increasingly hard to make ends meet and decides to take in a lodger in the form of Claude, a Frenchman who is a struggling artist. They eventually fall in love and embark on a passionate affair (of course they do).

The Widow and the Artist
Composition by Billy Playle

Thanks for listening

Very nice, Billy. Definitely has a film score feel to it .. or as an interlude piece. Particularly liked the flute feathering in and out. Great job mate!

Mick.
Very funny Spok ... now beam down my trousers.

A woman is on trial for beating her husband to death with his guitar collection.
The judge says "First offender?"
The woman says "No, first a Gibson, then a fender."

Wonderful, Billy - at first I was wating for vocals, but after a minute or two I did not miss it at all. Very nicely woven folk/new age style, right up my alley.

Hi Billy:

I've been meaning to take a listen to this but wanted to ensure there were going to be no interuptions whilst I closed my eyes and absorbed every delightful morsel of sound.

It is wonderful, I can see the picture clear as day, just lovely.

How beautiful this is. I love musical stories.  :)  Gorgeous melody weaving its way throughout, and the flute is so delicate.
