The final part of the Frozen Strings trilogy. This project could have gone on for months but my fellow cohorts were so stoked on this that we produced the 3 tracks within 2 weeks. That's is some effort and dedication. I can't thank PVD, GuitarGeorge and Andy enough for their hard work and superior performances. I also want to sincerely thank Mark for his invaluable advice in the mixing and mastering department.

Lyrics : PVD
Vocals, harmonies, melody : GuitarGeorge
Bass, melody, keyboards and synth : AndyG
Guitars, synth, mixing : Mickbrit55

Bitter Thaw

(v1)
As I meander through the ruins of my resent past
I'm still numb from you and your chilling blasts
I have no way of feeling, like I'm frozen in place
A shell of ice surrounds me, I'm fully encased

(v2)
When you opened the door and invited me in
I never noticed that cold rush all over my skin
All I could see was you and a smile so warm
Who could have forecasted such an ice storm

(chorus)
Like a strong wind that cuts my face
It was something I never saw
Something about you .... a major flaw
Now I'm trying to find my fire
And turn up the heat a little higher
To help me get through this bitter thaw

(v3)
I hear you now live alone in your fortress strong
Maybe it's for the best, it's where you belong
Because stone cold stares from your icy throne
Will ensure your solitude in your Frigid Zone

(bridge)
It's going to happen, I just don't know when
But I do believe, I will feel again
And you can be sure that when I do
My thoughts will not be of you

(chorus)

Great stuff.

Mike - maybe post a 16 bit version also?
George can often be found playing stringy things, and singing...

Guys:

Great job, number III and so quick.  George's vocals have done justice breathing life into all three of my lyrics and they do walk well together.
The overall arrangements of each one has been very well thought out and delivered.  Good times.

Onward and upward, working on some summer thoughts now.

Paul

Great job guys, well done all :). It's been a joy working with the team on this project.

Lots of good ideas, collaboration and gracious give and take.

I specially like the fact we recorded this at breakfast, mixed it by lunchtime and released it for dinner :).

Good thoughts Paul, don't forget spring and autumn too!

Mick, will you post up apes for the 3 songs when you get the chance?

Cheers
Andy

We had a really positive, workmanlike, mutually respectful, and fun approach on these songs.   :)

It has confirmed to me what fun online collab is, and why I gave up on some of the real bands I was a member of  in the past  ;)

Thanks Dave. You're right about MCS - it's the place to be if you want to make some great music. These guys really lifted this trilogy and made it into something special :)

Thanks Bill, this is one of my fav Mick compositions.

Both Mick and George are scintillating with their contributions!

Once in a while I get lucky while noodling on the keys ;)
