My first project on MCS, special thanks to SnowDogUK, who encouraged me to place my demo called "Steamer" in the MCS.
Brilliant idea, the rude Hard Rock demo went into a nice song with the aid and effort of an outstanding crew! :)

The Crew:
SnowDogUK (Guitar), GuitarGeorge (Vocals), Mr.Mom (Lyrics), StoneHead (Drums) and me (Bass). Final Mix by SnowDogUK.
Thanks a lot gentlemen, it was a pleasure to work with you!

Lyrics (Mr.Mom)

Crooked Man

(V1)
I had once known - a crooked man
And he was dealt - a crooked hand
He always walked - a crooked mile
But all the while, he grinned his crooked smile

(V2)
Oh how his words would move you so
Writing of places he would love to go
He loved to write - of the plight of men
Just with his pen, his ever-faithful friend

(Chorus)
Crooked man... crooked man
He was the best friend - you could ever have
Nature betrayed him - But he got by with what he had
With his crooked smile...
He'd walk the crooked mile.

V3
We met for coffee, on a Saturday
Solved all the world's problems... from a small cafe'
I still picture him in his favorite chair
I wish I'd known he'd never be back there...

Solo

(V4)
In this crooked world - there's no straight or true
No morals or conscience - to guide the few
But one crooked man, he stayed dignified
He spoke of the truth, until the day he died

(Chorus)
Crooked man... crooked man
He was the best friend - you could ever have
Nature betrayed him - But he got by with what he had
With his crooked smile...
He'd walk the crooked mile.

Congratulations Andreas. :)
I couldn't be happier for this to be your first MCS project... and seeing what's coming up next, makes me think you're gonna be a welcome addition to this - the world's best kept secret for music collaboration. 8) 8)

Oh wow what an exquisite slice of 70s hard rock!! This song has everything I love about british hard rock bands like Priest, Maiden etc.

A great lyric - John. I like the fact that it tells a meaningful story.

Superlative performances from the band - really rocking.

Mike - you guitar parts always blow me away. Loved the twin guitar parts- and a great mix to boot.

George - another wonderful vocal you are getting better with each song you front, like a fine wine!

Ian - a top notch performance indeed, this tune really benefits from your busy kick work.

Andreas - first of all, congratulations on completing your first ever collab, and what a great one to start off things with. The first of many Im sure. I really liked your galloping bass part, great tone and playing.

You guys should do more.

I-prodded!!

Andy

Great work everyone, good song.
Some great drum work there Stoney, especially the bass drum work. I was feeling my own left calf muscle burning as I listened!

Steve.

I totally agree Johnny, that's why when lyrics don't work on one song (for me anyway) it's just water under the bridge. I'd say some of my fav songs were ones that didn't work somewhere else. This song is a perfect example. I can't thank George enough for rousting around in my catalog and seeing potential for this one.  :)
