This song started out as Blue Collar Blues in another thread but the
originator of lyrics dissapeared. George and I developed the song.
I thought it was a cool tune and hated to see it go down, so I asked
Geroge if he would like to get some new lyrics and finish it. He agreed.
So Mr. Mom stepped up with some (life sucks in this town) blues lyrics.
Mike added a fat bass line and Todd added a thunderous drum track.
And we ended up with a nice blues tune!!
Great job guys!!!!

Motor City Blues (John Scunziano)
I'm tired of begging, for a job and food
I still love this Motor City, and I ain't being rude
But it's time to move
But this city is dying, it's a crying shame
Time I stop denying, that's why I'm living in pain
... Motor City Blues
Yeah, I'm running to Memphis, with my guitar in hand
Don't care how long it takes me, because it's the promised land
Now it's time to move
Now there's no ... no turning round
Now that I'm ... I'm Memphis bound
... Motor City Blues
I'm out on the highway, but I ain't got a ride
Just my thumb and a backpack, and what's left of my pride
It's time to move
Now there's no ... no turning round
Now that I'm ... I'm Memphis bound
I take 75... until Cincinnatti's in sight,
Then jump on 71... until I see Louisville's lights,
Then 65 to Nashville, where I get on 40 West,
And before I know it, I'll be in Memphis
I'm running to Memphis
