This is another blues.
Thanks to Captain Fantastic for helping put it together.

Captain Fantastic - Vocals, guitar
toadman - Guitar, bass, keys, drum machine.

Seeing Red - words & music by toadman (c) 2011

V1. I got the blues and all I see is red (x 2)
You can't kill a man who's already dead

V2. When I was born, they hung a sign over my bed (x 2)
It said 'this one bites when it wants to be fed'

V3. I got the blues and I'm feelin' mean (x 2)
I'm sick of living like a machine

I've attached wma & mp3 versions of the song.

Nice one guys. Not sure if I'd classify this as Blues. Maybe Psychedelic Rock.  ??? Sounds cool anyways. Nice job.  8)

Nice playing guys! Like the spoken lyric, made a nice change. Reminded me of Chris Rea in places. Good job :)

Sounds great Mick/Ralph. 8) Way to put this on the fast track.

After seeing verse 2 - I'm positive the head nurse spoke up and said, "Leave this one alone... she could tell right away, he was bad to the bone!" ;D ;D Sorry for stealing your words George T. ;)
Damn it Jim! I'm a WRITER - not a Doctor!!

Thanks Bill (more blues on the way).
Thank you John. If that line wasn't close to George Thorogood, I'd steal it! :)

The judge says "First offender?"
The woman says "No, first a Gibson, then a fender."

I dunno, Tim ... The arrangement sounds right to me as is. The guitars and bass give it a rich sound. I'd rather replace the drums with real ones than add keys. But then again ... A dark piano or a low synth pad might fit in. Not that it needs one though IMO ...

I'm with Steffen.
A real real human (or sub human) drummer beats a drum machine any day IMO.
As for keys, I hear it as a dirty blues guitar song. I think Ralph has nailed the vocal.
No offence, cyc.
