Mr Mom graciously provided me with lyrics and the inspiration to complete this song.

It tells a story about the disaster in Japan that has the possibility to become our worst nightmare come true in our lifetime.

I certainly hope not.

The lyrics are now included, in a text file.

6/21/11 - I redid the vocal. No effects now. Sounds much better.
6/22/11 - Added the bass track.

Done. Download it again.

from Hiroshima to Fukushima...I never understood WHY

as far as I can say great lyrics! Would be nice to read them.

This song is very strange. But it works imo! I would alienate the voice to improve the effect.

Hey Gene,
Feel free to claim credit for the lyrics if you wish, this is actually quite far removed from what I submitted. :)

I like your vocals giving this more of a Jimi Hendrix feel... 8) where I was going for kind of a poor imitation of Leonard Cohen. :o ;D
Damn it Jim! I'm a WRITER - not a Doctor!!

Sorry, John. You still get credit on this song. I did use most of your lyrics. Just rearranged them a bit to fit the tempo.
And, as well, what you sent me was inspiring. It broke a creative wall and allowed me to easily complete the vocal lines.

Nice job, my friend.

;D ;D OK Gene, you're the boss. You'd think I would try to take credit instead of give it away. LOL

Thank you, Ian.

This tune doesn't have a happy ending. I guess you could say its just art imitating life.

Decent song, guys. I agree with Ian regarding the heart beat/pulse monitor sound at the end....very sobering!!

The thing is, we need nuclear power. If you think we're going to get all our energy needs from wind and sun then you're dreaming. You would have to cover the land in those horrible wind turbines (which break down frequently). I'm all for nuclear power stations.....just don't build them in areas that are at risk to earthquakes.  ::)

Thanks, Billy.

I agree. The world's population is much too large to be totally supported by green power. The human race is now a victim of its
own mostly uncontrolled breeding habits. Extreme example: The couple in California that has 18 children. Needless to say, they
all are supported by the taxpayers (welfare) as there is no way they can afford to properly care for them all on their own.
And they want more. In my opinion, an arguably good case for involuntary sterilization.

I spent 35 years of my life building reactors for nuclear submarines. Same deal, just smaller in size. Boiling water reactors, same as
is used in nuclear power plants in America. We wouldn't have a powerful Navy without it. Not to mention keeping the lights on.
I live 21 miles from the Millstone nuke plant, in Connecticut. Never had a problem there.

No glow yet, Captain, but I can read by my own light.

This is very interesting, I love the different textures you worked into this.

John is very very good at topical lyrics (re: Bubblegum Bands that he wrote the lyrics for, for me, and Tricia sang). I'm afraid I don't do well at that, lol, I usually stick to grunt rock and pi**ed-off-at-girlfriend songs, lol!!!

-Danny
Nothing you play is original... at some point in time, someone else thought of that, and tossed it to the side, lol!

Thank you, Danny.

I think you're having one hell of a good time playing your music. No reason to change that.
Play what you feel at the moment. Don't forget to record the sessions. Frequently that is when
inspiration strikes. Even the screams of the victims, oops, I meant the audience, indicates pleasure
of some sort.
