Here is a small collection of my oldest songs,They are poorly recorded,I was wondering if they are worth recording again as collaborations ?Opinions please. Its funny going back to stuff you did years ago & hearing all your mistakes & how bad the sound quality is,Good time bad time gets faster & faster,it was hilarious trying to sing it at the end as its tempo seemed to have doubled. But are any of these any good ? Hard to judge your own stuff.

Wow! Are you kidding??

These songs are brilliant. I'm fast becoming a fan of yours CF.

Suicide Girl - Very much a Stray Cats inspired song (Runaway Boy).

Steal It Back - I loved this track. You've got a sort Red Hot Chili Peppers thing going here with this.

Flying Over Blue Seas - Very nice instrumental. The timing may be sloppy in places but the emotion in the playing is there to hear. Wonderful.

Bring you Down - Another  rocker. Almost sounding like a long lost T rex song. Excellent.

Dropping Those Bombs (content warning) - What an interesting Metal fest. The lyrics are great.

Good Time Bad Time - This is another fine acoustic track. I really like this. Again, interesting vocal performance.

All in all, you should indeed use these. There's enough for an album. Thanks for sharing.

Billy.

These tracks are great, I'm a big fan of the acoustic blues numbers.  I wouldn't touch this stuff... I'd focus on new material which I can see you're already doing.

Well... They sound sound great... Maybe you'll get better production, not better spirit... It's my opinion but I'm nuts, don't listen much to what I say   >:D
Live the best you can 'cause you're gonna be dead for a long time.

They sound good to me Ralph. I kind of agree with Billy, you should think about an album. I'd say they're ok as is, but if you wanted to do a "best of" Captain Fantastic album sometime, then I'd bring em out one at a time and give them the midas treatment. 8)
Damn it Jim! I'm a WRITER - not a Doctor!!

I'm listening to "Suicide Girl". I'd say: No it is not worth re-recording ...

...

... because it already sounds great! :)

It has that nice analogue sound of days gone by. I would not try to mess with that. Maybe do a new version for fun, but DON'T throw away the old one!

I'll listen to the other songs tomorrow. If they are similar to "Suicide Girl" they will definitely be up my alley!

Next day, next song. :) This time I'm listening to "Too Much Whiskey". And I repeat myself: Don't change anything! The song is complete as is.

I think a blues can not sound authentic if it is tweaked over and over. The cleaner and more perfect it sounds the less believable it gets IMO.

Some things sound better a bit rough around the edges
