This is a song I wrote that actually came true. I wrote it several years ago and the first draft was done at the old CC site. The girl I wrote it about I had not seen in nearly 20 years. I just wrote the song as a 'what if"... A short time after I posted it at CC, I was suddenly emailed after all that time. She had 'googled' me and had found that song and others. Since then we are now married.

I had the old files which included the guys here. Thanks again, guys! I re-did the vocals and this is the re-mix. I can still play with it if anyone has any thoughts.

Guitars - Dave : Studio Player
Bass - Preston : BassicSoul
Drums - Mike : DigitalDrummer
Words, Music, Piano & Vocals - Chesook

Feels So Good To Be Wrong

I can't believe that you're talking to me
I've been so alone and you're so pretty

My senses numb, my head's gone light
But it's the perfect feeling cos' you're here tonight

Chorus
I told myself
We'd been apart too long
Thought our time had gone
So it feels so good to be wrong

We're here alone, within this crowd
And despite the music, my heart pounds so loud

In this smoky haze life can be surreal
But as the night starts clearing, how will we then feel?

I told myself
We'd been apart too long
Thought our time had gone
So it feels so good to be wrong

Standing close, I hardly dare to speak
So I hold you closer, your hair on my cheek

I can't believe that you're talking to me
I've been so alone and you're so pretty

I told myself
We'd been apart too long
Thought our time had gone
So it feels so good to be wrong

:) Nice!

I can recognize Dave's guitar.  ^-^

Very pretty song guys.

Thanks Tricia for listening. Yes, Dave's guitar is a very key element in this one!  :)

After listening I still don't remember doing this one.  ;D :D That is my playing.  ??? Damn!!  ;D Not bad Errol. The singing is great. I think this could be redone better though. It's pretty busy. The drums could be more of a steady beat and the guitars could be more rhythm and less noodling. Let me know if you ever want to redo this.  :)

Yes, that was certainly you!  :) Many, many songs in between. You did a great job and I love solo. I wish I had made it longer. I actually do like the 'noodling' on this but am always open to new versions of these songs to improve them. If you get the time, let's try that.   :)
Thanks again!!

Yes, Holger it is 100% true! I was an exchange student at a University in Buffalo NY in the 80s and met Tracy there. We actually got engaged then. But I had to go back to Australia and over time things did not work out with the tyranny of distance and being a poor student not being able to get back. After it all ended, I started writing a whole bunch of sad songs over the years - but I never figured she would ever hear any of them - especially after so much time elapsed but sure enough that's what happened and the songs were the catalyst for her to find me and for us getting back together. This  happened to be at the same time I moved to the US. Yes, it sure is amazing what can happen with the internet - and of course music.
Thanks for listening to the song and for the kind words  :)
