I am quite sure this will evolve with use...but I feel we should set up an outline so that we can all make the best of this Studio. Here are the basics. Please feel free to suggest changes"

Setting up your Collaboration and Players

Post your Song with rough bed tracks in The Studio A Board. We think it is good practice to alway keep the first post up to date! You can do this using the Collaboration Option below the text box. If you are the original poster, you can update from any reply you make in that thread. We are working on a format but, Song Title, Positions open and attachments is a good start.
Post your request for auditions in the main thread using the Collaboration Options... dropdown. Please remove the request when a position is filled
Lets keep the working files small. 128 should be fine for auditions. WMA format. A 4-8 click intro is preferred and don't forget the BPM! You can attach the files right in the thread by clicking on "Additional Options" We really think this will help with the organization of the files!
Once everyone is happy with there tracks, start posting apes.
Keeping this board free is going to rely on everyone keeping the house clean. Lets not let the files pile up!
Once the project is done, move it to the Finished collabs area. I would like to showcase the songs and look at ways to market your music. That will all be added soon!

This is the short list, but you should get the idea. it is going to take a little while to get the content up on this page. I encourage all of you with knowledge to contribute with articles and facts.

When you post...just below the text box...you will see:

Additional Options...

Click to open and you will see attach. Just browse to the file on your drive and hit post.

That easy!

Hi NickT,

I'm not sure where to post small 30-60 sec pieces of ideas for collaboration.
I'll explain better....I'm not one to start or complete a whole song by myself.
I've always worked as a idea man /team player and would like to start something fresh.
I think it would be cool to see how something develops from a guitar/keyboard riff, percussion pattern or vocal verse/chorus.

Any thoughts ?

I just checked the Musical Opinion Section and this would be good for this purpose.
I'll have to record my ideas and hopefully find a writing partner
