Hi folks,

I'm lucky and proud of this song, it was only a little tune and now thanks to the great contributions of all involved musicians it's a real classic rock song  :)
I thank you all for your great work  and also for your encouragement.  ;)
A special thank goes to Paulo. He played all the keys, did the backing vocals (!) and he also was our mix master.
and we will get an alternative version of this song with Steve (pleasuredome) on vocals! I'm looking forward to this version.

The band is international:
electric guitars, music and lyrics                  :   Mick Lovering, USA (mickbrit55)
keys, bvocals, mixing/master                       :   Paulo Gomes, Portugal (Paulo)
bass                                                       :   Andy Gupta, Canada (AndyG6508)
drums                                                     :   John Wooten, USA (jwoo10)
acoustic guitar, vocals, music, lyrics             :  Holger Bremer, Germany (soulfrontier)

                       --------------THANK YOU ! --------------

lyrics:

coming home

all the way its coming down, its coming back to me
to where I found my home.
All the way and the feeling's coming over
to play hide and seek again.

Through the river that I crossed over
through the valley of the kings
over mountains and through the wilderness

I'm coming home

And now I'm sitting here and let it all come in
there's a better way.
See the sunrise and I watch a bird
and this tune will make my day.

You are here and you are there - everywhere!
I found a place where I belong.
You may see me in the shape of this old tree
and the birds will sing you a song.

come on come on sing a song
for my love, oh for my love

I'm coming home to where the light burns brighter
I'm coming home to warm by the fire

I'm coming home to feel safe and higher
I'm coming home to hear the sound of laughter

Ah, there's a better way
Ah, it will make my day

It takes away all my fears
And through the cool mist you'll see

I'm coming home

Hi Holger,

Im thrilled how well this song turned out!! I know this song meant a lot to you.

This is also affirmation of how everyone at MCS enjoys your singing :) - very distinctive and I really like the passion you put in - like you really mean it! Great vocal and acoustic guitar playing.

All the guys were super with their contributions - but I think Paulo and Mick deserve special mention for the work they additionally put in - Paulo for the super arrangement of keys, backing vocals and a great mix, and Mick for his original ideas and guitar goodness - its cool they took the "Rain Song" approach!!!

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to play a small part in this wonderful song.

Well done Holger!

Cheers
Andy

Nice one guys. I see you fixed any issues. Sounds beautifully now. Sweet song!!  8) The acoustic sounds great. Fantastic vocals Holger. This song suits you like a glove. Great playing by all the guys involved. A very epic tune. One for the player.  :)

Hats off to Paulo for the mixing!  :)

Wow ... what a trip this song was! As Holger said, it started as a small acoustic idea but it showed some real distinct possibilities. In true collaboration style we forged a great format, after many attempts, and came out with something to be proud of.

John's stonking Bonzo-esque drums really got us going (and in time). Many thanks John and, as I have said before, you always nail it! Andy, your feel on the bass for this track is simply awesome! You may think it is a small part but I disagree. If the rythm section is right then everything in the garden is rosey. Well done mate :)

Paulo worked his butt off the past few days to give us a really professional mix and master. His keyboards throughout the song are fantastic, but the final electric piano piece was pure genius. My hat goes off to you mate.

Holger, right from the start I told you that this song that you have written has a a magical quiality. Your acoustic playing was simple and yet eloquent. I hope you now realise that you truly DO have a unique and wonderful voice! Don't let anyone tell you any different. Thank you so much for letting me play on this one :)

Mick.
Very funny Spok ... now beam down my trousers.

Andy your bass part is not small! :) You and John are a fantastic team here, you gave the song the ground.
thanks a lot mate. I really like your bass part! Its JPJ-like and you nailed it.  ;)
You are right this song is special for me. I was very sick when I wrote this song. It was March and I was nearly deaf...I was not able to tune my guitar right...it was a fight against the evil disease. Now I'm happy because the song turned out great while I recover well and my ears are much better now.

Dave and Roger,

thank you for the kind comments!  :)

Mick,
I second that! could not say it better. Yes good times, bad times...we had both here  ;)
as Andy said, your guitar work is outstanding and you gave the song this custom classic rock garment  :)
thanks a lot mate!

Great work everyone...you pulled it off and it sounds totally natural and authentic.

We never finish a mix... we simply abandon them.
You can't polish a turd, but you can always spray paint it GOLD
Great songs are not written, they are re-witten
