Thanks to all who have mentioned the bass track.  I'm very grateful for the kind words on my performance.  I also performed a 12-string acoustic rhythm track which is nicely mixed in.  It's felt more than heard in the final mix which it was all it was supposed to do.

Just to keep the record straight...The majority of the bass track I performed was as close to exactly what Jay (HDA) had written in his original piano idea track in his left hand part.  I just wanted to bring this up to keep my conscience clear in getting compliments for a bass line I did not create from scratch.

I was just fortunate enough to quickly realize there was nothing that could be played that would be equal let alone potentially be better.  I learned what Jay played and did my best to play that part wth just a little bit of me thrown on top.

Thanks again to everyone and especially Jay who was open to all of the variations of the bass track I submitted without pre-judging what would or wouldn't work.

A refreshingly honest admission re creating the bass part but my goodness me, does that bass groove or what? and that most definitely is all yours.

Just to reiterate, this song oozes class from the first note to the final mix.  A hearty 'well done' to everyone.

I enoyed this, it came out great!

Yes, my solo was 'outside the box', a place where they increasingly seem to go!

GG

And what a fantastic solo it is George.  I love the jazzy feel and the way you weave effortlessly in and out of the key.  I've always admired players that could do that.  I'm guessing there's some 'mode work' going on in there.

Great stuff!!

Gary - I don't really think about keys and modes when I do solos.

I used to, but now I just do 'stuff'.
George can often be found playing stringy things, and singing...
