Thanks Andy..yeah, think you were following this one since it's inception...right up your alley! :)(keys really give that Uriah Heep sound/vibe..speaking of Heep, the singer is doing these extremely low budget radio ads for a local Hyundai dealer..."Ottawa South Hyundai...is the place to go...go.. go..!(screams)"...how sad!! ;D ;D(last time I saw them in the mid/late 70's..."Magicians birthday" tour I think?, they were selling out 20,000 seat arenas..he has an acoustic version as well! ::))

This one reminds me of "Born For Adventure" by Styx. Very nice and professionally produced.

Yeah, I suppose it can be a mean business to be in!! :( :(

Thanks Stoman, not familiar with the Styx track. :)

Cheers Nick, it is a very straight unmistakeably Blackmore inspired solo that's for sure, even down to the harmony at the out!!! Just glad you liked it :) :)

who is that Marc? a shame to see, being as how huge a moneymaker U.H. was in the 70's. But these guys have to earn a living too. Ken Hensley was hawking guitars and amps for several years in between touring. I know that Neal Smith from Alice Cooper is selling real estate these days.. too bad these guys can't just be musicians, as huge as their bands were.  :(

Thanks Dave, it's right out of a time warp for sure! ;D Todd has this expensive rack unit thingy we'll be starting to experiment with for production, supposed to give a real analogue tape saturation/warmth to digital recordings, hoping the end result all these CBZ mixes will sound close to what you used to get from your old turntable and those big 'ol huge speakers from days gone by. If we figure it out, will probably remaster this one so it'll put you right back there in your parents shag carpeted basement, the black light on and those cool blacklight posters, (like that skeleton on the chopper from hell...everybody had THAT one!), with the wideleg jeans and Uriah Heep T shirt, sharing a bong or some hot knives with your buddies after school before your parents get home to break up the party! ;D ;D ;D

;D  Damn... You make me wish I was still there. Painted a perfect picture of the old days. Only my blacklight posters were Hendrix, Black Sabbath & big ole' poster of a Marijuana leaf. Right along with my Canadian flag that we stole from the school yard and my favourite album covers strewn all over the place.  ;D I think hot knifing would kill me these days. Then again maybe not.  >:D

If you do a remix a short drum solo would be cool. Drum solos I'm not big on if they're too long, like 5 minutes,  ;D but a short solo can be cool.

I think Bluebells would be a great change of pace in CBZ's live set...or maybe as a teaser during soundcheck!!!

As for knives...yeah Dave...your not 17...you'd wind up at the ER probably! ;D ;D (Wait till you hear the remix of this thing with Todds toy...quite amazing..)

A drum solo would certainly be nice, even if it was just 16 bars or something!!!

Glad it took you guys back, it just makes me think Purple, Purple, Purple!!!

We never finish a mix... we simply abandon them.
You can't polish a turd, but you can always spray paint it GOLD
Great songs are not written, they are re-witten

Well... Todd's a kick ass drummer. Why not spotlight him on a song like this. It's not like it's meant for radio play anyways.  :)

Sly Stallone?  ;D
