I'd like a program that analyses great melody & chord structures and comes up with new ones using AI.

then we'd be into defining a criteria for great ... maybe based on No.1 hits, record sales, actually there could be something in that... analysis of all the past no.1s for specific genres using fingerprint type algorithms with a goal to artificially creating new songs that people instantly like.. hmmmm

Hi Everyone...

I really need your help with some research I'm doing and as part of that I need to do some subjective testing. Basically, if you could download the 10 files and follow the instructions. Type the answers into the text file and send it back. Should only take 10 -15 mins, so if you could do that I would really appreciate it.

If you have any questions about the procedure just ask either in the thread or pm.

Mike is there any kind of idea on what sort of level we should be reproducing these at to listen to?  Should we be using our monitors or can we use heaphones.

If one listens at different levels then wouldn't it affect the subjective results ?

It's impossible to control that sort of thing Mark when the test is done like this... some of the tones are at different levels in the test anyway ..... but it's the same for everyone.... normally everyone would be in the same place using the same gear with a lot more instruction from a supervisor...  I really only want to confirm what I think I already know by study spectrograms of the algorithm outputs....  it's more about how close a tone matches a reference tone than anything else...

All of these anomalies will be stated in the results... just write down what you hear...
