Thanks for the accolades - I thought I had to try something to match you 3 - so fell back onto the old ploy of shades and looking mean - in actualilty had a fit from laughing when I looked at my raw footage!!

  Mike, I rem a gig we were really squashed together on stage and I did the same with the drummer's ride and it went bowling over..he wasnt amused...i rem large quantities of rum and coke being consumed in someones van as well!

LOL ... this was a very strange experience wasn't it ... very different from hiding in my studio but what a laugh..... I had to set the old gigging kit up for this, I dont use it for recording but it looks much better than the one I do.....Your take works really well ... now we know we can do it we will have do more.
