Bobby, what's your last name.  This is the last time I'll ask.  I don't have your last name in my file.  But I'll put it there as soon as I get it and it will stay there for eternity  ;D ;D

Into The Sunset
Katherine Wong (Casia) - Original Lyrics
Benny Moore - mod. lyrics/composition/vocals/drums & percussion/mix
Henry Mittnatcht - Guitar (lead and picking rhythm)
Bobby - bass, piano

(Intro)
Tell me what is the reason
For the changing seasons
And the pain that lies within
For the stormy skies
For the days gone by
And the eagles flight at night
At night

(V1)
On the northern Texas trail
Spent a week in jail
It doesn't really matter
From December to June
Another dark saloon
But your memory won't fade
It just won't fade

(Chorus)
Into the sunset
One step at a time
For a slow farewell of mine
Into the west I go
Where the tumbleweeds all blow
Into the sunset

(V2)
I'm riding out of Dodge
With my glass spurs on
Ev'ry midnight is the same
No one to save me
On this lonesome journey
It's a ghost town on this road
This lonesome road

(Chorus)
Into the sunset
One step at a time
For this slow farewell of mine
Into the west I go
Where the tumbleweeds all blow
Into the sunset

(Bridge)
Every dried up river
Leaves cracks upon the sand
Every broken heart you see
Flows through this no-mans land

- solo -

(V3)
A game of solitaire
On a horse that don't care
Hoping something better
Will come along for me
If only you could see
How your twisted words
Cause me hurt
So much hurt

(Chorus)
Into the sunset
One step at a time
For this slow farewell of mine
Into the west I go
Where the tumble weeds all blow
Into the sunset

Into the sunset
One step at a time
For this slow farewell of mine
Into the west I go
Where the tumble weeds all blow

Into the sunset
Into the sunset
Into the sunset
Into the sunset....

Definitely soundtrack material.  :)  Love the music.  Terrific job, all round, with lyrics, vocals, and playing.  ;)

Thanks Dave and Donna:

This is one of my favorite songs.  I love Benny's tune on my lyrics, it worked well.  Soundtrack sounds good to me...just gotta figure out how to do that!!!   ho-hum.

This is great, I liked it when I heard it before ... I promised Casia to help with a mix if it's still required.

I seem to remember you asking me about it a while back, but I just noticed there's a much better mix on the original thread so I suspect you don't need me now !

( you should change the one posted here though )

I never liked the mix on this one :P, so I re-mixed it and I think it's much better now. Tell me what you think.

I liked the other mix  , this one is different  - I don't think it's better , just different.  There's a fizziness to one of the guitars I didn't notice so much on the other version .  It does have more clarity , but I don't think that mattered for the song.

This is still my fave Benny song, though I choose the other mix for personal listening.

This is where it all began... My first song with Benny!... awwww...(sigh)
All the lead stuff was basically a first take that I send to Benny who cut and pasted the diff. licks to the fitting spots...

I will always love this song.

Hey guys (gal).  Great song here!  Wow Doc,... those guitars are perfect (nice editing Benny).  Doc,.. already seems like you've been here forever man.  Don't forget to tell your grandson about the vulgar Canadian with leaf underwear and a butt chaffing crowd pleaser man spandex outfit.

Hmmm, for some reason I think this is my first Benny song too, I'm gonna check.  It is certainly one of my favorites and I think should be the feature on our album because this is what started the ball rolling with the "Misplaced Texans".  Ahhhhh, memories ... I feel so misplaced though that I can't hang out with you guys in real life  :D :D.

Jay, thanks for the compliment. We need to work on something together one of these days.

Casia, our first song together was Scars, which I vow to finish!

Doc, that's a great story and this was the beginning of a great partnership. However, I have a head start on being able to tell that story (see picture). My daughter Julia (at the top) just had a baby...so guess what that makes me! That's not so bad, except I can see I'm starting to look the part. Eeeek! My other daughter, Brooke, at the bottom is now an Auntie!
