Uncertain Dawn (Steve McAndrew)
When times get heavy I got you on my mind
When times get heavy I need your love to find
Though times are changing, our love will see us through
The bonds that tie between us, in hidden strength renew
Say goodbye by morning she's gone
There's Little chance we'll all see the dawn
Like a dam bursting forth all it's sorrow
Long the night with it's uncertain tomorrow
From your isolation, you faced your toughest test
We saw your face was changing, and it was for the best
And as we all watched you, you changed, as if in sleep
And with each passing moment, we hoped your love to keep
Say goodbye by morning she's gone
We hoped and prayed your fight would go on
The hope then smoothed the edge of our sorrow
Long the night with less uncertain tomorrow
Uncertain dawn, uncertain
Uncertain dawn, uncertain, uncertainSteve McAndrew (Pleasuredome) - Music, Lyrics, Guitars, Vox

Probably the most atmospheric piece of music I have written, due to the subject matter and associated circumstances.
It is based upon the news we received at the intensive care department at the Accident and Emergency department of the local hospital, where my mother-in-law Marion (90 years old) had been rushed in an ambulance after having suffered a stroke. The family were taken nto a side-room and informed that Marion would not last the night and to make sure we said anything we felt we needed to say to her as "she was a very sick old lady". That is what made the dawn uncertain.
I am happy to say that Marion made a near full recovery and is now as fit and well as can be expected, albeit a very, very frail old lady
Here she is a picture taken with her great grandson on 11/24/08
