Where do I start
I wrote this at the end of March, posted up an acoustic version on April 1st ( no joke ) and here we are with a fully fledged song all finished.
It was one of those songs that just flowed out like a stream of conciousness , I only spent about half an hour figuring out the chords and lyrics, I wish all songs came so easily.
When I posted it , I had no idea that Pat ( Rattlehead ) was a mind reader. Sometimes you get good auditions that are different to your ideas, sometimes you get auditions that don't fit...but Pat totally nailed the main guitars
and even better than I'd heard them in my own head
, and without that I don't think it would have turned out half as well as it did..it really made me think it was a cool song to carry on with ... Thanks Pat !
Marc laid down a great bass, then Robert's drums really added an extra dimension, as did Steve's Bv's and extra Guitars.
Now the keys....I had to fight really hard to get those ! ...I think I Pm'd everyone whose an ivory tinker and they all thought it sounded full and could really come up with anything....until Lindy came along...another mind reader...he really nailed his parts too. I'm lucky. I knew it could be done, you just gotta have faith.
Now I guess the song is about faith and destiny, and making your own destiny...it's also a bit of Romeo & Juliet type love story...
