Cool articles Nick. Since CD has mentioned SOS lately in a few threads I've been poking arond on their site quite a bit. Some really good articles and mix clinics. I think I may have to start getting that Mag for reading. Some really great tips in there.  8)

I've been subscribing for over 12 years now....great magazine....a bit too deep & technical for some.  I still have the edition I was in from 10 years ago  8)

Great songs are not written, they are re-witten

The thing that I found most interesting about that article besides how much stuff he has is that he works at low volume levels.

I've had a real problem trying to compose music at low levels, have to have it up a bit to get into it.

I finally got a sub woofer which seems to help, like I can feel the music without having to crank it up too much.

I like the way he buys a piece of gear and just sets up his favourite effect for it and then leaves it.....and buys another one rather than change the settings !  ;D

"and the way I do that is by adding specks of EQ with a high Q setting, find what I don't like and off it goes.": rationale behind that statement?

Where's the English version of this article!? :-)
