Well, I downloaded Reaper and got installed. I tried to get it to recognize my Kemper in Audio Devices. I selected it and tried to select drivers. Tried them all. Finally, I saw the Kemper Asio driver and selected it. But then wouldn't accept any lines in or out and there were no options as to 1 or 2 etc. So I saved anyway, armed the track and it crashed and won't load. I rebooted computer and still won't come back on. I know I will have to reinstall, and it will operate again. I know Kemper has it's own drivers but apparently buggy with windows.
I guess I'll try a driver that I've seen recommended asio4all I believe is the name of it.
N-Track won't run the Kemper in USB mode either. Tried for hours on both of the DAWs. I can run through my Scarlett 2i2 gen1 on both systems, but sound quality isn't the same.

That's not great Bill. I use Reaper pretty exclusively and it is rock solid.

Asio4all is not the greatest driver. Old tech and mot really asio.

That Kemper has 7 ways to Sunday about routing it as interface.  I'll keep looking.

try this in reaper:

Option 1:
Holding SHIFT while starting Reaper to open with a new project instead
And then loading the problem project with the 'Open with FX offline' option checked in the File > Open Project window

Option 2:
Opening a different .RPP project file directly from Finder first (so Reaper loads this one instead)
And then loading the problem project with the 'Open with FX offline' option checked in the File > Open Project window

Probably makes sense now. Computer crashed this morning.  It was only 2 years old! I went and bought an external HD to backup, got home and computer was dead! It is a HP 2000 Notebook. I believe it was the computer not kemper or DAWs.  Wont even power up. I checked the power supply and it is working. Then i opened it up. Wow! Im not messing with it. Definitely not something desirable for recording but I was on a budget. So I'm checking my options.

Took computer to the tech today to see if I could recover files. Recovered computer also!!!! I checked power suply and it showed 19v output. Tech checked also and said supply was good. So he took it apart and checked it all out and tried some things and cleaned it. Still wouldn't power up. He noticed the light by power adapter plug wasn't on. So he tried another power supply and it came back to life!!!   So, I'm up and running again!!!

Got my Kemper connected to DAW also!!! I had to change driver in Rig Manager (Desktop app that controls Kemper) Wow what a pain!
But it's all over now! (As the Stones would say)  ;D
