Well, finally  ;D, completed my first ever original song post/collaboration on MCS.
Fabulous guitar tracks and mix from Frank, super vocals from Smithie (the original singer), tasty keys adds from Steffen, and accomplished drums from Erik helped to bring this song home after all this time.
The song was written for an imaginary TV series. I cobbled together the spoken word loops from some of my favourite sci-fi/dysutopian movies, I wonder if the listener can spot which movies they are from?

Em          C                Em

No rules apply

Verse2
Em                 C                    Em

great song.
very well written & put together & performances are top notch.
the only criticism i have is vocal plosives - could have used a de-esser.

Cool song guys......a sort of "Ode to the Equalizer"

Tasty playing by everyone. Great guitar sound and everything is really sounding crisp.

You always write interesting songs, Andy & SmithC.

Thanks, Mark and Billy, for listening and posting!!   :)

And I have to agree that Andy and Smithie write great songs.  This is certainly a great example of one.  And they, as well as Steffen and Erik, produced excellent performances.  I'm just happy to be a part of it.   :)

Great song, Andy, and I'm happy that you finished it. The song definitely did not need my tinkering, but I'm happy that I could be a very small part of it.

Killer guitars, Frank, as always!

This world needs more prog rock! :)

Smithie,

I know :). Remember the cassette to cassette desk we used to overdub on, which would speed up with every pass/take, and we had to retune our guitars everytime? A song would start in A and finish up on  ;D B or C!

Hi Steffen,

Thanks, and I am glad you played a part in it. Your keys parts fitted in very nicely with the soundscape.

Hey Andy

What a way we used to record :) :)

I still wonder how we used to manage those  ;D

Nice track Andy, surprised it took so long to finish this..everybody played great parts and the vocals are really well suited to the vibe of the song.

CD
We never finish a mix... we simply abandon them.
You can't polish a turd, but you can always spray paint it GOLD
Great songs are not written, they are re-witten
