Thanks to all the guys and the quick help on getting this song done in a very short time. It's one of those songs where everyone comes together at the right time and the right place. Everything worked out really smoothly. I was starting to get worried that it was getting over worked but thanks to Mark and his mixing skills it all blended together quite nicely. Hats off to Billy for taking this to another level with the keys and arrangement. He helped put it into a place where I could hear it in my head but need someone to bring it there.
Thanks to anyone else who showed interest in this. Steffen....
I believe Cal wanted to use this song in some way to help "Veterans who suffer from P.T.S.D. and whom a large amount are Homeless". He can tell you more.
I have included a link to his YouTube Video.

The Boulevard
It's getting dark as the sun goes down
the lights are turning on in this town
The sidewalks will be cold tonight
I show my sign to the passerby's
but they won't look at me in the eye
they just look away and hand me their loose change
and seems so strange
The paper sack seems to hide my wine
The only thing I have to keep my mind
from wandering straight back to you
it's true
But it's alright, it's alright
I'll be doing fine in my time
and maybe tomorrow things will change
and the shakes will go away
I remember when you were my girl
With your hand in mine I ruled the world
Now those days are gone
since you moved on
I'm a shadow of the man I was
But I'm not one to try and hold a grudge
And the boulevard is my real home
Alone
But it's alright, it's alright
I'll be doing fine in my time
and maybe tomorrow things will change
and the shakes will go away
and time will ease the pain
or I'll just fade away
