Finally completed this song with the help from some offsite collaborators. It was originally posted up onto this site by WorryMort back in October 2010!
Since then I have been trying to develop my mixing skills, particularly since my drum kit has recently had to be dismantled for a little while.  >:(   I needed to find a way to pacify my creative side and this seemed to be an ideal way.

I really need a father
To keep me in a straight line
What would it cost to buy this misery
I'm hopeless and deflowered
Righteous in my dead eyes
Opening the wounds to show me who I am

I cannot be alone
I can't allow myself to think
The sands of time have really made this tomb for me
Suspense as sure as pain
Held within your cold hands
Pathetic at the end with a sense of relief

Chorus:
I only seem to whisper
When I really need to scream
I have too many thoughts
It's easier to whisper than to scream

Break:
I cannot fall asleep
That comfort has been taken
I only pass the time, a mystery to myself
Am I more valid?
Am I easy on the eye?
A reason for myself contemplating a life

i like the tune.
and the mix is very good in my opinion.
clear enough to hear everything.
sounds big & still has plenty of dynamics (not squashed)
great job.
rock-n-roll ain't pretty --- that's why they picked us to play it.

Really nice song Steve...it reminded me of the later guitar based New Order type stuff.

CD
We never finish a mix... we simply abandon them.
You can't polish a turd, but you can always spray paint it GOLD
Great songs are not written, they are re-witten

Thank you mark. I have a new respect for the producer now. They are the fifth beatle, the fifth Metallica member, the fifth Janes Addiction member, the sixth Guns 'n' Roses member, .... hold on that last one doesn't work, but you get my drift. A NEW FOUND RESPECT  ;D

I personally don't hear New Order but I do like the fact that you hear that.   >:D

\m/... wow, this rocks!
Besides your super drumming I like the singer a lot...
I would think of Foo Fighters!

Manic Street Preachers, vibe?

Enjoyed this, Albsy lad. Imagine this on "Later with Jools Holland".
