Use It Before You Lose It
(Come On, Baby)

Lyrics, Vocals: Mike Basil
Bass: Mark Bowen
Guitars: Henry Mittnacht & Bobby Clohessy
Drums: Todd Vierra
Composed by Steffen Offermann & Mike Basil
Produced by Steffen Offermann

The way you're moving baby
It’s turning me on
The way your grooving baby
I can’t get enough, no

Come on baby
Come on baby
Let's go out tonight

Come on baby
Come on baby
We'll tear it up till the morning light

Like a fire
Dancing to the flame
Feed my desire
Girl you’re so insane

Come on baby
Come on baby
And be my little honey bee
Come on baby
Come on baby
I love the way you’re teasing me

Come on baby
Come on baby
I like the way you shake your stuff
Come on baby
Come on baby
I just can’t get enough, hum yeah

I'm drawn to the flicker of the flame
I can't help myself
I know I'm playing with a fire
I know this cause I’m burning up inside

Come on baby
Come on baby
Let’s go out tonight

Come on baby
Come on baby
Will tear it up till the morning light
Come on baby
Come on baby
I like the way you shake your stuff

Come on baby
Come on baby
I just can’t get enough
I love the way you move
I love the way you groove
I’m burning up inside
I’m burning up inside
oh yeah

Regards,
  Steffen

Hi Everyone,
It was a very enjoyable experience to hear everyone’s parts come together, it turned out great. I’m always amazed how complete strangers can record and create music from around the world with never being in the same room.
Thanks for letting me be a part of it.

Take care.  :)
Mike

Nice tune! I think it needed more horns to fill out the sound. The original piano sound was better than the wow Rhodes sound here. IMO. The refrain has empty instrumental spots in there. Vocals are sweet.

Funky Tune, some great performances on there. It's already been said there's a couple of spots where the arrangement needed filling out a bit more but you can only work with got you got I guess.

CD
We never finish a mix... we simply abandon them.
You can't polish a turd, but you can always spray paint it GOLD
Great songs are not written, they are re-witten

It was a pleasure to work on this tune with you all. Turned out much different ( but in a good way ) to how I heard it in my head at the start.

Cheers  8)

Thanks everybody! :)

Yes, I had a different vision too (more pop), when I composed the original demo, but I love the raw, funky sound it has now. Much easier and more interesting to listen to than pop IMO.

Steffen, you should credit lead and back up vocals.

Oops, fixed.

Regards,
  Steffen

Every time somebody says that my/our songs remind them of the 70s, I know we must have done something right. :)

Thanks!

an instant classic.

great sound & performances all the way around.
rock-n-roll ain't pretty --- that's why they picked us to play it.
