interesting development concerning this song.
it's one of my favorites.
first tune i ever did music & lyrics for myself.
the main melody just sort of popped into my head & the lyrics just flowed out of me.
Doc helped me with the melody in the chorus as i didn't like how i was singing it.
but the recent development is that i entered in a band contest for cumulus radio's next to rock nationwide contest.
i had no idea it would become a local finalist.
i just sort of figured a few people would like it & that would be it.
but the local radio station called & wants "the band" to perform next thursday.
sadly i have to call & decline & explain that this was part of an online collaboration & not part of a local band.
plus, i recently quit the band i was in.
besides typical band issues i'm also having short term memory issues.
making being in a band even more stressful.
just wanted to let you guys know that someone; i guess somewhat important; likes what we did.
