Insanity (Thrash Metal) - not everyone's cup of tea :)

So, not originally what I had envisioned when I wrote this song but it certainly matches the mood of the lyric IMO.  There's now talk of adding some "mean shredding"  on this but I'm not certain that it will happen so I'm considering this done.  This was originally created by the owner not really expecting anyone to pick it up so he was unable to redo guitars for various reasons.

Hi Cass,

A very well written, performed and produced collab!! A bit to hard for me, but no denying the excellence of the track. The lyrics are direct and clever.

The sound of the guitars are great, as is the mix.

You should sell this to the "Fear Factor" reality show!!

I rem you doing "World Gone Mad" and "Lost Cause" off site - those were good songs too!!

Thanks for commenting Andy.  It's a bit too hard for me but I've grown to quite like it under certain moods.

"Lost Cause" and "World Gone Mad", I'm surprised you still remember them, geez that was like three years ago.  Maybe I'll go listen to them again .

It's just so tragic what has happened.

Another teen idol taken away from me, one of the forefathers of thrash . He was a founding member of a band that had a drummer that inspired me to pick up some sticks and learn to play the drums, an awesome drummer (Dave Lombardo).
Of course there were other bands that also contributed to my inspiration, like: Guns n' Roses, Metallica, Faith no more, Megadeth, Anthrax, Suicidal Tendencies and of course Slayer.

Sadly missed. I can't see them being the same again without him 


BTW...well done every one involved, excellent work. I really enjoyed the listen again and again and again AND AGAIN!!!

My son is the bass player in that video. He's been out of that band for about 4 or 5 years.
Not really his kind of music either.

I think the song is pretty cool and well performed but it's fighting a bit of a sub-par mix unfortunately.

It's a shame because the rest of it is really good.

Thanks CD.  Actually, I think the mix is the best it can be based on what the mixer had to work with.  People post a composition without thinking it will actually go anywhere and then can't provide the best files for the mixer to work with.

Personally, I can't tell how well it is done because it's such a head banger I can't focus.  But overall, I like what the vocalist has done with it.  It was fun.
