Collected Works vs. Artist Release

I am thinking about taking 10 songs I have done here over the last two years and putting them on a collected works CD,  I was the song writer and producer on all the songs but I was not the lead singer on most of them, so I can't really release this under the name of a band or artist - there isn't one. 

So I'm thinking of just coming up with a name for the CD (maybe the name of one of the songs) with a byline of "collected songs written and produced by Rob Talbert".  There would be no other band name or artist name.  Does that work, do you think, or is there a better way to do it?

Thanks.  I guess the point is that there are pleanty of collected works CD's by different artists that get released, so this could work like that - a collection of different kinds of songs with the common theme being I wrote them.
