Another great collaboration! I'm not crazy about the "yeah-yeahs", because they distract very much from the serious and sad meaning of the lyrics, but other than that I really like it. Great arrangement, as always.

Regards,
  Steffen

other than that it has a nice sound.

rock-n-roll ain't pretty --- that's why they picked us to play it.

Great feel, in the style of Simon and Garfunkle to me.

I just heard a report on the CBC radio, that was about this very thing where some people were going "the long way round" to actually end up, hopefully, in South Korea.  It was a very interesting report.

I'm on the fence with the upbeat-ness of the background vocal work myself.  I like it because it helps to keep interest in the song while listening, but as others have said, it can take away a bit from the seriousness of the song.  My thinking is I'd rather have people listen to the song and get the message across then not listen because it sounds a bit drab (without those back vocals).

All in all, great work.

Top song Sir Billy !

I like your mate's vocals - the mix of acoustic guitars, percussion and pan pipey sounds is perfect for the song.

We never finish a mix... we simply abandon them.
You can't polish a turd, but you can always spray paint it GOLD
Great songs are not written, they are re-witten
