This is the first 'final' mix for this tune.    I tend to work at night, so whenever I get a song 'finished'  I alwasy mark it as my first final mix, then come back to it the next morning or in a few days to give another listen and make any fixes.

Anyway, the song is done, thanks to OnlineDrumTracks for the many many requests I made to the drums.   I hope I did your playing justice in the mix!

I've listened to this song about 10 times and love it!  Just curious, did you find the vocalist on one of the collaboration sites or locally?  She's fantastic.

This is actually her song.   It's a girl I work with, we decided a few months ago to re-record some of her tunes.   Originally I was just going to track her acoustic and her voice, but as we got into it, she was having some difficulty playing to a click and she alwasy said she sings better when she's not playing guitar, so I lay down the guitar and bass parts then bring her in to record the vocals.  I add a few parts here and there (electric guitars, harmony vox etc...), make suggestions, and sort of play producer, but ultimately the songs are hers, so she can take most of the credit :-)   I will pass along all the kind words guys, and I expeect as we add more songs, she'll be wanting to use all of you more :-)

Gravity - I'm seriously impressed with the quality of this recording. Not only on a production level but on a writing level. The vocals are sublime. The right amount of emotional tenderness in her voice is stunning. I can also hear that you put in many hours of work on the production side to get it this good...a real labour of love. Truly an inspiration to us other songwriters. The guitars caress my ears while the drums and persuasive bass hold it all together nicely.

I love this song.  It's one of my all-time favs from MCS and just thought it deserves a bump. 

I get a kick out of the fact that this is a girl that Gravity knew locally at his workplace who just happened to be an incredible vocalist.  I mean what are the odds? 

Anyone heard from Gravity?  His site is down and he last logged in in 2009.
