Best audio converter for Mac?

Hey guys,

I switched to Mac a couple of years ago, and pretty much also dropped out of recording audio (went heavy into filming! :-). What's the best audio converted for Mac out there? Paid is ok, free is ok too! Using Mac 10.9.5.
