Gerk says: Thanks Nick. That would have most likely been a cache being stuck issue. I've not had a pause issue since disabling the mp3 player.

Gerk says: Ok more changes made. Something forcefully changes some settings, grrrr. Uploads should be working again now. And I'm leaving the MP3 preview thingy off for a bit to see if that resolves the timeout issues.

Gerk says: I'm testing it myself as well ... i think it comes down to this old ass forum software that we hacked into submission to run on modern PHP.

Still working on things but I'm seeing the upload issue as well.

Gerk says: I've temporarily turned off the MP3 file preview ... it seems like the site stalling issue is being caused in a roundabout way by this (for the geekier in the crowd it's causing a race condition on session file locking). I will figure out a different way to do this in the near future.

Stoney says: I sometimes get the issue where if I have streamed a track from the forum I have to go back to the front page and start again

napoleonboot says: Hi, I have seen the site stall quite a lot recently. A couple of times there have been no other users on, it is as if the browser cannot establish a connection.

Gerk says: I've seen that stall thing happen as well but I thought it only happened to me. It's a cacheing issue and a bit hairy to deal with (if you do the wrong thing it breaks everything and you have to manually fix in the database). I will try and get it sorted out.
